E-safety parent and carer advice booklet from Northamptonshire County Council (updated April 2016)

Think U Know A website especially for parents/carers, launched in December 2015, offering a completely refreshed suite of articles and guidance on all aspects of child internet safety and how to keep children safe from sexual abuse, both online and off. Users will find films, downloadable guides and useful links to support organisations:

CEOP Safety Centre Families can report abuse and exploitation directly to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP):

NCA Cyber Crime Advice from the National Crime Agency on how to help young people avoid the risks of getting involved in cyber crime

Educate Against Hate brings together the best advice, support and resources available for parents, teachers and school leaders who want to learn how to protect young people from extremism and radicalisation, and is the result of successful collaboration between the Department for Education, the Home Office, the NSPCC, Internet Matters, Childnet, ParentZone, UK Internet Safety Centre, and the many other organisations who have contributed resources.

Year 7 Huxlow students “Clean for the Queen”

Clean for The Queen is a national campaign to tidy up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June. Year 7 students from Huxlow Science College blitzed the school grounds on Thursday 3rd March 2016. They did a fantastic job, clearing away 27 bottles, 70 pieces of paper, 436 plastic bags or packaging items, 11 cans and 34 pens in all......Read more
