Excellence Week: 6 - 8 July 2016

Wednesday 6th – Friday 8th July 2016 was Excellence Week for Years 7-9. This year’s provision included a wider range of trips and activities than ever, including:

  • English: Overnight stay in London with a show, dance workshop, literary tour and sightseeing
  • Maths: Puzzles, problem solving and geocaching at Stanwick Lakes
  • Science: A day investigating the Science of rollercoasters, followed by visits to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park
  • Humanities: A visit to Duxford Imperial War Museum and a historical re-enactment
  • PE: Accessible basketball, beach volleyball and a trip to Wembley Stadium
  • DT: Three day residential with a range of outward bounds activities including rock climbing and water sports
  • Art: Three day creative project working with a visiting artist
  • ICT: Learning how to develop your own app from scratch
  • MFL: Visit to the beautiful Blenheim Palace and mazes to learn about their history
